Postal Delivery Driver – Fixed‑Term (9 months)

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postie in Plymouth, delivering letters and parcels on a rotating shift schedule that includes weekends. You will be the face of a trusted service, staying active and connected to your community while working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot within the local area.
• Build relationships with customers and deliver items in all weather conditions.
• Handle a variety of items, from letters and parcels to exam results and birthday cards.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) and ability to pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit for walking up to 12 miles and lifting/ carrying 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently outdoors.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a fast‑paced environment.
