Postal Delivery Driver – Fixed‑Term (9‑month)

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver (often called a "Postie") on a 9‑month fixed‑term contract in Bordon. You will be the face of the service, delivering letters and parcels to homes and businesses while staying active and connected to the community.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Bordon Delivery Office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot across your local area.
• Build relationships with customers and represent Royal Mail’s trusted brand.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Deliver a wide range of items, from exam results to birthday cards and business orders.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your name and address.
• Willingness and ability to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit for walking up to 12 miles (20,000+ steps) and lifting/ carrying 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to organise work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Customer‑focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.
