Postal Delivery Driver – Fixed‑Term (Cambridge)

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver in Cambridge, delivering letters and parcels to the local community. This fixed‑term position offers a rotating shift schedule, including weekends, and provides full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Cambridge Delivery Office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot across assigned routes.
• Build relationships with customers and represent the Royal Mail brand.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling high volumes during peak periods.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Ability to pass a driving assessment and drive a Royal Mail van daily.
• Physically fit – able to walk up to 12 miles, climb stairs/hills and lift/carry 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and comfortable working independently.
