Postal Delivery Driver – Fixed‑Term, Part‑Time in Glasgow

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postie delivering letters and parcels across Glasgow. You will work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends, and represent the trusted face of the service in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot within your local area.
• Build relationships with customers and deliver a wide range of items.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Handle high volumes of parcels, especially during peak periods.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Willingness and ability to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit to walk up to 12 miles (20,000+ steps) and lift/carry mailbags of 10 kg or more.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer‑focused with pride in delivering great service.

Required skills

• Manual UK driving licence.
• Ability to drive a van daily.
• Physical stamina for long walks and lifting.
