About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver in Rossendale, delivering letters and parcels to your local community. This part‑time, fixed‑term position offers a rotating shift pattern, including weekends, and allows you to stay active while providing an essential service.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Rossendale Delivery Office.
• Deliver mail by van and on foot across assigned routes.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling up to 12 miles of walking per day.
• Meet time‑critical delivery targets, especially during peak periods.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) registered to your name and address.
• Ability to pass a Royal Mail van driving assessment.
• Physically fit – able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills and lift 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Manual driving licence (UK).
