Postal Delivery Driver – Guildford

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver in Guildford, delivering letters and parcels to the local community. You will work on a rotating shift schedule, including weekends, and be the friendly face of our trusted service.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot throughout your assigned route.
• Build relationships with customers and represent Royal Mail professionally.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling a high volume of mail.
• Deliver a variety of items, from exam results to birthday cards and business orders.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Willingness and ability to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit for walking up to 12 miles, climbing stairs or hills, and lifting/carrying 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a busy, time‑pressured environment.
• Customer‑focused with pride in delivering great service.
