Postal Delivery Driver (Haverhill)

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver in Haverhill, delivering letters and parcels to your local community. You will work on a rotating shift schedule, including weekends, and represent the trusted face of the service.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Haverhill Delivery Office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot throughout the assigned area.
• Build relationships with customers and provide excellent service.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, walking up to 12 miles per shift.
• Handle high volumes of parcels during peak periods.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your name and address.
• Willingness and ability to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit to walk long distances, climb stairs or hills, and lift/carry mailbags of 10 kg or more.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a busy environment.
