Postal Delivery Driver – Part‑time (Ashford)

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver in Ashford, delivering letters and parcels to the local community on a rotating shift schedule. You will work both by van and on foot, interacting with customers and representing a trusted national service.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot across your assigned route.
• Build relationships with customers and provide friendly service.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Handle a variety of items, from exam results to business orders.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Ability to pass a Royal Mail driving assessment and drive a company van daily.
• Physically fit for walking up to 12 miles and lifting/ carrying 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer‑focused with pride in delivering great service.
