Postal Delivery Driver – Part‑time Contractor

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver in Wilmslow, delivering letters and parcels to the local community on a rotating shift schedule. This part‑time, fixed‑term role keeps you active, working outdoors and interacting with customers across the area.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Wilmslow Delivery Office.
• Deliver mail by van and on foot, covering up to 12 miles (20,000+ steps) per shift.
• Build relationships with customers and represent the Royal Mail brand.
• Work in all weather conditions, including weekends and Sundays as required.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) registered to your name and address.
• Physically fit – able to walk long distances, climb stairs or hills and lift/carry mailbags of 10 kg or more.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Valid UK manual driving licence.
• Ability to pass a Royal Mail driving assessment.
