Postal Delivery Driver – Part‑time (Southwark)

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a part‑time Postal Delivery Driver in Southwark, delivering parcels across a multi‑drop route each afternoon and early evening. You will be the face of the service, ensuring parcels reach customers promptly, rain or shine.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and load parcels into the delivery van each shift.
• Plan and follow routes using the company’s route‑planning technology.
• Deliver parcels to customers, providing friendly service and handling any queries.
• Maintain the van’s cleanliness and safety standards throughout the day.
• Adhere to the scheduled working hours, including required Saturday and occasional Sunday shifts.

Required profile

• Upbeat, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Organised, punctual and proactive.
• Committed to delivering excellent customer service.
• Willing to work afternoons and early evenings, including weekends as per rota.
• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than six penalty points.

Required skills

• Valid UK manual driving licence.
