About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver in Stroud and become the friendly face that brings letters and parcels to local homes and businesses. This part‑time, permanent position offers a rotating shift pattern, including weekends, and lets you stay active while serving your community.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Stroud Delivery Office.
• Deliver mail by van and on foot, covering up to 12 miles per shift.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling high volumes during peak periods.
• Follow safety and delivery protocols, including a daily driving assessment.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Physically fit for walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Ability to safely operate a Royal Mail van.
• Competence in basic route navigation and time management.
