About the role
We are seeking a reliable Postal Delivery Driver for a temporary assignment in the Lee‑on‑the‑Solent area. The role involves delivering mail and parcels across the Solent region, working Monday to Friday with occasional weekend flexibility.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and sort daily mail and parcels at the local delivery office.
- Deliver items by vehicle and on foot, covering up to 8 miles of walking per shift.
- Use a company‑provided handheld device to navigate routes and capture customer signatures.
- Safely lift and transport mail bags (up to 16 kg) and parcels (up to 20 kg), using a delivery trolley when required.
Required profile
- Valid full UK manual driving licence (preferably clean, with no more than 6 penalty points).
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong time‑management and customer‑focused attitude.
- Previous delivery or commercial driving experience is advantageous but not essential.
