Postal Delivery Driver – Temporary (North Essex)

About the role

Join Pertemps Royal Mail as a temporary Postal/Parcel Delivery Driver in North Essex. You will work up to 35 hours per week, delivering mail and parcels across the area while providing a high level of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare for shifts by sorting and loading deliveries at the local office.
• Deliver mail and parcels by vehicle and on foot, walking up to 8 miles per day.
• Use a company handheld device to navigate routes and capture customer signatures.
• Safely lift mail bags (up to 16 kg) and parcels (up to 20 kg), employing delivery trolleys as needed.

Required profile

• Valid full UK manual driving licence (≤6 penalty points, clean preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong time‑management and a customer‑first mindset.
• Delivery or commercial driving experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Handheld device operation for navigation and signature capture.
