A propos du poste

Join the prestigious Health and Life Sciences department at the University of Exeter to contribute to groundbreaking mental health research. Working under the supervision of Professor Ed Watkins, you will play a pivotal role in the Wellcome Trust-funded project: "Understanding the mechanisms driving the reduction of repetitive negative thought".

Missions principales

  • Design, implement, and analyze experimental studies to identify active ingredients in rumination-focused CBT.
  • Conduct participatory research involving individuals with lived experience of mental health challenges.
  • Contribute significantly to a definitive clinical trial.
  • Define research objectives and prepare high-quality publications and technical reports.
  • Identify new funding opportunities and contribute to the drafting of competitive grant applications.
  • Present research findings at international conferences and to diverse stakeholders.

Profil recherché

  • PhD (or imminent completion) in Psychology or a closely related field.
  • Proven track record in clinical psychological research and therapy-related studies.
  • Strong ability to communicate research advancements orally, in writing, and electronically.
  • Experience in engaging with research participants and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively within a high-level academic research team.

Competences requises

  • Advanced experimental research design and methodology.
  • Clinical psychology expertise (specifically CBT and rumination).
  • Data analysis and scientific writing.
  • Grant writing and fundraising support.
  • Stakeholder engagement and participatory research methods.
