Postperson (Delivery Driver) – Clitheroe

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postperson in Clitheroe, delivering letters and parcels to your local community. You will work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends, and be the friendly face of a trusted national service.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Clitheroe Delivery Office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot across assigned routes.
• Build relationships with customers and represent the brand positively.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling high volumes during peak periods.
• Travel to Pendle Delivery Office for Sunday duties as required.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Ability to pass a driving assessment and drive a Royal Mail van daily.
• Physically fit – comfortable walking up to 12 miles, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a busy environment.
