Postperson (Driving) – Fixed‑Term Role

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postperson (Driving) on a nine‑month fixed‑term contract, delivering letters and parcels to the Horley community. You will work a rotating shift pattern, including weekends, and be the friendly face of the service for local customers.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Horley Delivery Office.
• Deliver mail by van and on foot, covering up to 12 miles per shift.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers while delivering a wide range of items.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and adhere to safety and delivery standards.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) registered to your name and address.
• Physically fit – able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills and lift 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Driving a Royal Mail van safely and passing a driving assessment.
