Postperson (Postal Delivery Driver) – Crewe

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postperson delivering letters and parcels across Crewe and surrounding areas. You’ll work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends, and become the friendly face of the service, connecting with the local community each day.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Tarporley Delivery Office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot, covering up to 12 miles per shift.
• Build relationships with customers and represent the Royal Mail brand.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling high volumes during peak periods.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Willingness and ability to pass a driving assessment and drive a Royal Mail van daily.
• Physically fit – able to walk long distances, climb stairs or hills, and lift/carry mailbags of 10 kg or more.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Safe van operation and navigation.
• Physical stamina for walking and lifting.
