About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postperson (Postal Delivery Driver) in East Grinstead, delivering letters and parcels to your local community. This fixed‑term position runs for nine months and offers a rotating shift pattern, including weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver mail by van and on foot across assigned routes.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling up to 12 miles of walking per shift.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Physically fit for walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Manual driving licence (UK).
