Postperson (Postal Delivery Driver) – Glasgow

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postperson in Glasgow, delivering letters and parcels to your local community. You will work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends and Sundays, and be the friendly face of a trusted national service.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot across assigned routes.
• Build relationships with customers and represent Royal Mail professionally.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling high volumes during peak periods.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Ability to pass a driving assessment and drive a Royal Mail van daily.
• Physically fit – able to walk up to 12 miles (20,000+ steps), climb stairs/hills and lift/carry 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and organised with strong resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer‑focused with pride in delivering great service.

Required skills
