Postperson (Postal Delivery Driver) – Part‑time

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postperson in Brighton, delivering letters and parcels to your local community. This part‑time, permanent position offers a rotating shift schedule, including weekends, and lets you stay active while providing a vital service.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Brighton Delivery Office.
• Deliver mail by van and on foot across assigned routes.
• Build relationships with customers and represent the Royal Mail brand.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling high volumes of mail.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) registered to your name and address.
• Ability to pass a driving assessment and drive a Royal Mail van daily.
• Physically fit – comfortable walking up to 12 miles, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
