Postperson with Driving – Part‑time Contractor

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postperson with Driving, working a 30‑hour week on a 9‑month fixed‑term contract. You will deliver letters, parcels and other items to homes and businesses across the Stockton‑on‑Tees area, providing a friendly face for the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver mail and parcels to residential and commercial addresses following assigned routes.
• Operate a company vehicle safely, complying with road‑traffic regulations and Royal Mail policies.
• Work shifts between 08:45‑15:00 or 14:00‑20:00, including one Sunday in every four weeks.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and respond to customer enquiries professionally.

Required profile

• Upbeat, independent and self‑motivated.
• Organised, punctual and committed to high‑quality customer service.
• Comfortable walking for long periods and working outdoors in any weather.
• Strong sense of community and pride in the role.
• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
