Postperson with Driving – Uckfield Delivery Office

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postperson with Driving at the Uckfield Delivery Office. You will be the face of the service, delivering letters and parcels to the local community while staying active and working outdoors.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot across your assigned route.
• Build relationships with customers and represent Royal Mail professionally.
• Work in all weather conditions and handle high volumes during peak periods.
• Cover rotating shifts, including weekends and occasional Sundays at Tonbridge.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Ability to pass a driving assessment and drive a Royal Mail van daily.
• Physically fit – able to walk up to 12 miles, climb stairs/hills and lift 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and comfortable working independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a busy environment.

Required skills

• Valid UK driving licence.
