PowerApps Developer – Birmingham

About the role

FDM Group is looking for a PowerApps Developer to design, build and support enterprise‑grade applications that improve operational efficiency and automate workflows. The role will work within a regulated financial environment, collaborating with engineering, operations and risk teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy large‑scale PowerApps (Canvas and Model‑Driven) for global technology operations.
• Architect solutions handling large datasets, complex Dataverse models and high‑performance requirements.
• Build and maintain Power Automate workflows, custom connectors and integrations with Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, APIs and Azure services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Implement secure development practices, including RBAC, data loss prevention, logging and audit controls.
• Create comprehensive documentation covering architecture, data models and deployment artifacts.
• Optimize existing applications for performance, delegation and user experience.
• Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshoot complex application and data issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and backlog grooming.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft PowerApps and the broader Power Platform.
• Proven experience delivering solutions with large‑scale data (tens to hundreds of thousands of records).
• Strong understanding of secure development and regulatory compliance in a financial setting.
• Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders.
