PR Account Manager – Ideal for Journalists

About the role

This B2B PR position is designed for journalists who want to transition into agency communications. Based near Bristol, you will work with a fast‑growing agency delivering strategic media campaigns for business‑focused clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead B2B client accounts and act as their trusted PR adviser.
• Develop and execute strategic PR programmes aligned with business objectives.
• Generate story ideas, secure coverage across print, digital and broadcast platforms.
• Write high‑impact content such as press releases, op‑eds, thought‑leadership pieces and digital copy.
• Proactively build reputation, spot opportunities and support issues management.
• Produce campaign reports with clear insights and recommendations.
• Mentor junior colleagues and help shape the next generation of PR talent.
• Maintain and expand relationships with journalists and media outlets.

Required profile

• Experienced PR professional or journalist ready to move into PR.
• Strong writing and editorial judgement with a keen news sense.
• Confidence managing multiple projects and tight deadlines.
• Proactive, curious mindset with commercial awareness.
• Preferably some PR agency experience, though exceptional journalists with B2B exposure are encouraged.
