About the role
Sheridan Maine is looking for a qualified Practice Accountant to join its growing accountancy practice in North Hampshire. You will manage your own client portfolio, preparing statutory accounts, tax and VAT returns, and delivering management accounts while offering practical financial advice.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Complete personal and corporate tax returns
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Produce management accounts and financial reports
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Support clients with accounting and tax queries
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and HMRC requirements
- Support and mentor junior team members
Required profile
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Eligibility to work in the UK full time
