Practice Accountant – £35k‑£45k (South Liverpool)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Practice Accountant to join a long‑established firm in South Liverpool, serving owner‑managed businesses across the Northwest. You will act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance and delivering proactive support.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as first point of contact for assigned client portfolio.
- Manage client onboarding and ongoing communication.
- Prepare and file year‑end accounts and quarterly VAT returns.
- Handle self‑assessment tax returns and CIS returns.
- Address ad‑hoc client inquiries.
- Oversee workflow for junior team members.
- Perform general office duties as required.
Required profile
- Minimum three years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
- ACCA or ACA qualification preferred; AAT qualification minimum.
- Qualified by experience considered.
