Practice Development Advisor

About the role

The Practice Development Advisor will join the Children’s Social Care Academy to support the learning and development of frontline staff. Working within a hybrid model, you will help newly qualified social workers, social work students, and experienced practitioners progress in their careers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver training and development sessions for newly qualified social workers on the ASYE programme.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to social work students and experienced social workers.
• Collaborate with the Academy & Quality Assurance Team Manager to design and update learning materials.
• Contribute to the evaluation of training impact and report findings to senior management.
• Maintain strong relationships with staff through regular presence in the office and virtual support.

Required profile

• Qualified and experienced social worker with a solid understanding of children’s social care.
• Excellent organisational, communication and analytical abilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to foster a collaborative culture.
