About the role

Milton Surgery, a progressive GP practice serving around 8,000 patients in North East Edinburgh, is seeking a qualified Practice Nurse to join its multidisciplinary team. The role offers flexible part‑time hours between 16 and 24 per week, allowing you to balance professional development with personal commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a full range of primary‑care nursing services, including cervical screening, vaccinations and immunisations.
• Manage chronic disease programmes and promote health‑focused initiatives for the practice population.
• Collaborate closely with GPs, healthcare assistants and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Contribute to clinical projects aimed at improving service delivery and patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification and active NMC registration.
• Demonstrated competence in all core aspects of practice nursing.
• Essential experience working in a general practice setting.
• Motivated, forward‑thinking and able to thrive in a busy environment.
