PRAM Engineer (RAMS) – High-Speed Rail Project

About the role

We are seeking a PRAM Engineer (RAMS) to support a major high‑speed rail infrastructure programme in the UK. The role will translate system‑level performance expectations into concrete obligations for contracts and delivery teams, ensuring the railway meets its operational promises from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and disaggregate PRAM requirements across a complex delivery organisation.
• Translate system‑level expectations into clear contractual and delivery obligations.
• Use specialist analysis tools to define multi‑disciplinary technical solutions.
• Track progress through System Level Reviews and support reliability data collection via DRACAS and FRACAS.
• Collaborate with engineers, operations specialists, maintenance teams and safety professionals across a large matrix organisation.
• Influence without direct authority and raise escalations when delivery is off track.

Required profile

• Background in engineering standards, safety or reliability engineering within a complex programme environment.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status.
• Good understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical requirements into practical delivery obligations.

What we offer

• Salary range £65,000‑£70,000 per annum
• Pension contribution of 12%
• Hybrid working model (3 days in office)
• Location: Central London with the option to work from Birmingham
