Pre Litigation Fee Earner

About the role

The FR Group is a young, vibrant law firm seeking an experienced Pre‑Litigation Fee Earner to join its Road Traffic Accident team in Blackburn. You will manage a caseload of road traffic accident claims from portal submission through to litigation, providing high‑quality client care and advice.

Key responsibilities

• Run an independent caseload of approximately 180 RTA files from MOJ portal entry to pre‑litigation and litigation stages.
• Upload and manage claims on the MOJ and OIC portals, including Stage 2 packs and Stage 3 proceedings.
• Recover credit hire, storage and recovery charges and issue relevant invoices.
• Conduct investigations, obtain evidence, value damages and draft witness statements.
• Identify and flag potential fundamental dishonesty for supervisory review.
• Meet monthly and quarterly performance targets.

Required profile

• 12‑18 months experience handling MOJ portal cases in a similar pre‑litigation role.
• Strong knowledge of credit hire, recovery, storage and liability arguments.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage a full caseload.
• Excellent client‑care skills and a collaborative team approach.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MOJ Portal and OIC Portal.
• Experience using MedCo for medical agency instructions.
• Ability to conduct AskCue PI searches.
• Strong general IT skills for case management.
