Pre-Preparatory Music Teacher (Ages 3-7)

About the role

We are partnering with a highly regarded independent preparatory school in Essex to recruit a passionate Music Teacher for Early Years and Key Stage 1. You will join a child‑centred environment and help shape a vibrant music curriculum that inspires creativity and confidence in young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging music lessons for children aged 3‑7.
• Introduce fundamental musical concepts such as rhythm, pitch, dynamics and tempo.
• Facilitate singing, movement, instrumental exploration and composition activities.
• Organise concerts, assemblies, seasonal productions and other school events.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with school leaders and teaching staff to develop an inclusive, ambitious music provision.

Required profile

• Qualified music specialist with experience teaching Early Years and KS1.
• Enthusiastic, energetic and imaginative approach to classroom teaching.
• Ability to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range £45,000‑£60,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
• Permanent, full‑time contract starting September 2026.
