Pre-Preparatory Teacher – QTS (3-7 years old)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified teacher (QTS/EYTS) to join the founding team of a new independent preparatory school opening in September 2026. The role will involve teaching children aged 3‑7 in the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1, helping shape the school’s ethos and curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons for EYFS and/or KS1.
• Create a calm, positive and purposeful classroom environment.
• Support pupils’ academic progress and personal development.
• Foster independence, curiosity and confidence in young learners.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and quality of provision.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and safeguarding.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) – essential.
• Experience teaching within EYFS and/or KS1 settings.
• Strong knowledge of child development and effective teaching practice.
• Reflective, motivated and committed to high standards.
• Enthusiastic about contributing to a growing school community.
• Positive, professional and nurturing approach.
