Precision Engineer – Transition into Sales

About the role

We are seeking a Precision Engineer or Machinist who wants to move into a client‑facing sales position. You will receive full technical and product training and will be responsible for growing the business across the West Midlands, balancing account management with new business development.

Key responsibilities

• Visit existing and prospective customers in Birmingham and the West Midlands to understand their needs and promote our precision products.
• Generate, qualify and follow up sales leads, working with specialists when required.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate terms and close sales to achieve targets.
• Support exhibitions, product demonstrations and marketing events.

Required profile

• Background as a Precision Engineer, Machinist or similar technical role.
• Comfortable interacting with clients and presenting technical information.
• Valid UK driver’s licence.

• CNC operation
• Mill and Lathe machining
• Inspection techniques
• Use of CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
