Premises Assistant – Mixed Secondary School

About the role
We are seeking a Premises Assistant to join a mixed secondary school and sixth form in South East London. The role is full‑time and temporary initially, with an immediate start and competitive daily rates.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance of school buildings.
- Handle repairs of facilities and equipment.
- Provide general security and oversee day‑to‑day cleaning.
- Conduct standard safety checks and ensure compliance.
- Liaise with external contractors and manage service schedules.
Required profile
- Right to work in the UK.
- Clear, up‑to‑date Enhanced DBS.
- UK‑accredited Health & Safety qualifications or training.
- Previous experience as a Premises Assistant in a UK secondary school.
Required skills
- Health & Safety knowledge.
- Building maintenance expertise.
What we offer
- Daily pay between £99.75 and £150, dependent on experience.
- Immediate start in a supportive school environment.
- Temporary full‑time contract with the possibility of extension.
