Premises Manager

About the role

Randstad Education is seeking a proactive Premises Manager for Harris Garrard Academy, an award‑winning campus designed by Norman Foster. Reporting to the Estates Manager, you will be responsible for the overall upkeep, security and health & safety of both primary and secondary sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, schedule and develop the on‑site premises team.
• Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, applying hands‑on technical and DIY skills.
• Supervise external contractors to ensure safety, quality and value.
• Champion site compliance, conduct risk assessments and manage building security, including opening and closing procedures.
• Manage the academy’s vehicle fleet, ensuring servicing and upkeep.

Required profile

• Proven experience in premises, facilities or estate management, preferably within education.
• Strong leadership ability with a track record of managing hands‑on teams.
• Solid knowledge of health & safety legislation and building compliance.
• Practical building maintenance skills and a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
