Pre‑School Manager – Brentwood

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Early Years leader to manage our vibrant pre‑school in Brentwood. The setting blends the EYFS curriculum with outdoor, forest‑school and Montessori‑inspired activities, offering children a rich, hands‑on learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day‑to‑day operation of the pre‑school.
• Inspire, develop and support a high‑performing team of Early Years practitioners.
• Ensure the highest standards of childcare, learning and safeguarding are met.
• Design and deliver engaging, child‑centred experiences that incorporate outdoor, music, mindfulness and creative arts.
• Build strong relationships with families and the wider community.
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain school readiness outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Early Years leader or manager.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and Montessori‑inspired approaches.
• Passion for outdoor and nature‑based learning.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to lead a team and foster a collaborative culture.

Required skills

• Knowledge of EYFS curriculum requirements.
• Familiarity with forest‑school and nature‑based pedagogy.
• Experience implementing Montessori‑inspired practices.
• Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
