Press Brake Setter Operator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Press Brake Setter Operator to join our fabrication team at an established manufacturing business on the outskirts of Marlow, Buckinghamshire. You will set up and run CNC press brake machinery to produce high‑quality fabricated components for the construction sector, working safely and to exacting technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC press brake machines according to work orders and engineering drawings.
• Select, fit and adjust tooling for each job, ensuring correct bend sequences, angles and tolerances.
• Perform first‑off and in‑process quality checks using measuring equipment and record results.
• Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records of each job.
• Identify and report quality issues, scrap material and non‑conformances.
• Follow health and safety procedures, risk assessments and COSHH requirements.
• Assist with general fabrication and workshop duties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating a press brake in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings accurately.
• Must have a valid driver’s licence for commuting to the Marlow site.
• Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.

• Competitive salary of £32,000 per year.
• Generous bonus scheme up to £5,000.
• Full‑time permanent role, Monday‑Thursday 7:30‑16:30, Friday 7:30‑15:30.
