Pricing Lead – Bulk Purchase Annuity

About the role

We are seeking a Pricing Lead to join the Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) team of a specialist insurer. The role sits at the heart of transaction delivery, taking ownership from opportunity assessment through to execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pricing of BPA transactions from initial assessment to completion.
• Analyse defined benefit pension data and build cash‑flow models to generate pricing outputs.
• Present pricing recommendations and insights to senior stakeholders.
• Support buy‑in and buy‑out transactions, including post‑deal true‑up calculations.
• Drive enhancements to pricing models and methodologies.
• Mentor junior actuarial team members and support their development.

Required profile

• Qualified or near‑qualified actuary.
• Strong experience in defined benefit pensions, preferably within consulting, insurance or reinsurance.
• Experience in pension risk transfer, BPA pricing or de‑risking transactions.
• Strong modelling and analytical capabilities with a commercial mindset.
