Pricing Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Pricing Lead to shape the pricing strategy for a range of specialist motor insurance products, including commercial vehicles, motorcycles, private vehicles and short‑term cover. Based in Bristol, you will work closely with product, distribution and wider pricing teams to translate market insights into commercial actions that drive profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pricing activity across the specialist motor portfolio, conducting regular reviews and developing rate change recommendations.
• Oversee implementation of pricing changes and monitor portfolio performance – loss ratios, contribution and trading results.
• Maintain a pricing action plan, ensuring initiatives are delivered, measured and aligned with business objectives.
• Review and enhance pricing structures, rating factors, segmentation and model performance.
• Support pricing for new products, enhancements, distribution opportunities and pricing experiments.
• Assess commercial viability of broker, partner and scheme opportunities, providing pricing expertise for broker requests and market expansion.
• Analyse impact of pricing and distribution decisions on portfolio performance and customer outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in pricing within the insurance sector, preferably specialist motor lines.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret loss data and market trends.
• Excellent commercial judgement and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
• Experience managing pricing projects from recommendation through to implementation.
