Primary Class Teacher – Term Time (Full‑Time)

About the role
North Lakes Children’s Herdley Bank School is seeking a Primary Class Teacher to work on a term‑time basis. You will deliver the National Curriculum to pupils with a wide range of special educational and mental health (SEMH) needs, supporting their independence and full participation in school life.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons that meet the National Curriculum while addressing complex SEMH requirements.
- Support the class team in creating positive learning environments and managing behaviour.
- Report on pupil progress and concerns, liaising with other staff to ensure needs are met.
- Supervise pupils during non‑classroom time, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
- Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and achievement.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Degree‑level education.
- Previous successful teaching experience.
- Experience working with pupils who have SEMH needs.
- Proven use of effective behaviour‑management techniques.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
