Primary Early Career Teacher (Year 3/4) – Part‑time Contractor

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Preston. The successful candidate will be placed in either Year 3 or Year 4 on a one‑year fixed‑term contract, starting as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum for Year 3 or Year 4.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Collaborate with senior staff and contribute to whole‑school initiatives.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development and safeguarding duties.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending completion of a PGCE.
• Passion for primary education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Legal right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo enhanced DBS checks.
