Primary KS2 & KS3 Class Teacher – SEMH (Full‑time)

About the role
This full‑time, term‑time only position is based in a specialist independent SEMH provision in rural East Grinstead. You will teach across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3, supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.
Key responsibilities
- Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment for SEMH learners.
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for KS2 and KS3.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants to maximise pupil support.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies and uphold high expectations.
- Monitor progress through regular assessment and adapt teaching accordingly.
- Support development of literacy and communication skills across the curriculum.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to whole‑school development.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching KS2 and/or KS3 students.
- Experience or strong interest in SEMH/SEN settings.
- Strong behaviour management and relational teaching approach.
- Ability to deliver creative and adaptable lessons.
- Collaborative and positive team player.
