About the role
Berry Recruitment is seeking an experienced cook to join a primary school kitchen on a temporary basis starting in September. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8am‑2pm, during term time and offers flexible shift patterns to suit your schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals for primary school pupils.
- Cover staff absences and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
- Assist with menu planning and stock management.
Required profile
- Experienced chef or cook with a passion for food.
- Valid DBS (or willing to obtain one) to work with children.
- Flexible availability for occasional evenings or weekends.
- Own transport is advantageous, though public transport access is common.
