Primary School SEN Teaching Assistant (Full‑time)

About the role

Reed Education is recruiting on behalf of an Outstanding primary academy in Slough to hire a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. This full‑time, long‑term position runs from September 2026 to July 2027 and involves supporting pupils with additional learning needs in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with SEND.
• Assist children with autism, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, ADHD and other learning challenges.
• Collaborate closely with class teachers, SEND specialists and parents.
• Deliver targeted interventions and adapt learning activities to individual needs.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children with SEND in primary, secondary or specialist settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, caring, resilient and able to build positive relationships.
• Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).

• Day rate of £95‑£120 depending on experience and trial day feedback.
