Primary School Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and thriving primary school in Bishops Waltham from September. The role offers the chance to work in a supportive, inclusive and high‑performing environment where pupils are enthusiastic about learning.

Key responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and progress.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
• Provide additional support for pupils with SEND where required.
• Foster pupils’ confidence, independence and love of learning.

Required profile

• Experience working with primary‑aged children, either in a school setting or a similar environment.
• Patient, caring and enthusiastic attitude.
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Proactive and flexible approach.
• Commitment to supporting every child to reach their full potential.
