Primary SEN Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join reputable schools across the South‑West. The position is based in Bristol and runs during normal school hours, offering either part‑time or full‑time hours.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, project‑based lessons for pupils with special educational needs.
• Adapt curriculum and resources to meet a wide range of abilities and learning styles.
• Collaborate with senior staff and support teams to monitor pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs).

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with primary teaching experience.
• Proven experience working with children who have special educational needs, either in a mainstream or specialist setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for pupils, especially those with long‑term absence histories.
• Ability to work as part of a team while also taking independent initiative.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SEN legislation and best‑practice teaching strategies.
• Experience designing experiential and project‑based learning activities.
