About the role
We are seeking a compassionate Primary SEN/SEMH Teacher to join a small independent provision in Barking & Dagenham. You will work with a tight‑knit KS2 class of 4‑5 pupils, delivering tailored lessons that support vulnerable learners with social, emotional and mental health needs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, flexible lessons for a small KS2 cohort.
- Collaborate with experienced Behaviour Mentors to provide classroom support.
- Implement trauma‑informed, attachment‑aware teaching strategies.
- Monitor and report pupil progress, focusing on confidence and re‑engagement with education.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate support.
Required profile
- Qualified primary teacher with a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable children.
- Resilient, compassionate and able to work in a small‑class environment.
- Willingness to develop specialist expertise in SEMH and trauma‑informed practice.

- 1‑year fixed‑term contract with potential for permanency.
- Full‑time schedule finishing at 1 pm on Fridays.
