Primary SEN Teacher (Years 3-6) – Autism Specialist

About the role
This full‑time position is for a Primary SEN Teacher covering Years 3‑6 in a specialist school with a strong focus on autism. The role starts in September 2026 on a temporary basis, with a high likelihood of becoming permanent after the first term.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for small groups of pupils, adapting content to meet a wide range of learning needs.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment for children with autism.
- Collaborate closely with teaching assistants to ensure consistent, high‑quality support.
- Monitor pupil progress, set individualised goals, and record outcomes.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and help shape specialist SEN provision.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in primary, EYFS, or SEN settings.
- Strong knowledge of autism and effective support strategies.
- Demonstrated classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Reflective, resilient, and collaborative approach.
