Primary SEND Teacher – Milton Keynes

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Primary SEND Teacher to join a specialist school in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will create a supportive, inclusive environment where pupils with autism, sensory and complex learning needs can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual SEND needs.
• Maintain a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes positive behaviour and wellbeing.
• Assess, monitor and record pupil progress against EHCP targets.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals.
• Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the academy.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching primary‑age pupils with SEND, preferably in a specialist setting.
• Strong classroom practice and behaviour management skills.
• Patience, adaptability, resilience and a passion for inclusive education.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
