About the role
We are partnering with a fantastic primary school in Brent to hire a full‑time Primary SEND Teaching Assistant starting in September. The school prides itself on a supportive environment where teaching assistants are encouraged to develop their skills and progress towards teacher training.
Key responsibilities
- Support children in Reception and Key Stage 1, delivering both one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance.
- Implement creative and individualized strategies to help pupils with a range of additional needs become confident, independent learners.
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and support staff.
- Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Required profile
- Passionate about helping children reach their full potential.
- Calm, patient, and nurturing approach.
- Reliable, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Enjoys teamwork and seeks a long‑term career in education.
Required skills
- Experience in a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support, Early Years, Youth Work, or similar role.
- Ability to work with children of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
